“I had wanted to work for a long time from the visual and sound material of Sergio Leone's films, but also from the psychological description of the characters and their social relationships, developed in his cinema. As a child already, I was struck, instinctively and emotionally, by the perfect combination of the director's so personal, documented, dark and innovative art with the heavenly, original and quirky music of Maestro Ennio Morricone. Since then, the singular universe of Sergio Leone has never ceased to occupy my creative imagination. A fascination for this unequaled encounter between cinema and music, for this sharp look on the human soul, reinforced by my thinking as an adult.
It is therefore in a singular return trip between childhood and adult perceptions, quest for identity, evocation of films and the contemporary world that my work has sedimented itself.
For this project, my wish was to musically summon the scenes that marked me, in a free association, without the constraint of respecting their order of appearance on the screen. They come from two films "Once upon a time there was the revolution" and "The good, the bad and the ugly".
