"Instant Sharings"- because THAT is what matters!
The music begins, and the musicians have to broadcast, listen, share, make quick decisions ... with, for and depending on the other musicians, so that this four-part story becomes one. In this album, this practice is perfectly embodied by wonderful musicians, having a personal journey rich in multiple and innovative collaborations. Everyone brings their experience, their life stories, their universe to the service of this project.
The repertoire consists of original compositions and pieces by some of my favorite musicians: Paul Motian, Wayne Shorter, Steve Swallow. They have in common a strong melodic character, favoring the work on timbres, dynamics, space and meaning. This work was magnificently highlighted, by Gérard de Haro, during our recording session at the La Buissonne studios.
